One of the incredible things about wines made in Oregon, is that so many of the producers are commitment to responsible stewardship of the land. At Ponzi Vineyards, we have farmed sustainably since our founding in 1970.

In 1999, a certifying agency called LIVE (Low Input Viticulture & Enology) emerged. LIVE independently certifies the sustainable practices of winegrowers in the Pacific Northwest, using the latest in university research and internationally accredited standards. They also provide regional education to preserve the human and natural resources of the wine industry. In 2000, Ponzi Vineyards achieved LIVE certification for each of our vineyards.

LIVE is unique in that it looks not just at smart, environmentally-friendly practices in the vineyard and winery, but also considers the importance of a healthy and sustainable business. We are proud to be LIVE Certified Sustainable and to work with grape growers who also farm sustainably. Thoughtfully and responsibly produced wines are certainly something worth toasting. Cheers!
