The Tiny Bubbles Sparkling Wine seminar was a hit! Winemaker, Luisa Ponzi and special Guest, Bryan Maletis of FatCork hosted the 2 hour seminar at Ponzi Vineyards featuring Champagne and Oregon Sparkling Wines.

April 14th, 2016 was a day filled with bubbles, education and enthusiasm, the Oregon Wine Sparkling Symposium was a monumental meeting of leading wine industry members at Ponzi Vineyards. Sparkling Wine Industry leaders from the west coast gathered to discuss the next big thing in Oregon – bubbles.
A Proposed Laurelwood AVA
The Laurelwood AVA is a proposed sub-AVA of the Chehalem Mountain AVA. It would comprise the entire North slope of the Chehalem Mountains and be made up of primarily Laurelwood soil. This basalt layer is ideal for the cultivation of Pinot noir and contributes a signature richness and depth to the wines. The Ponzi family has noted this effect over the 40 years they have been working with the soil.
