Full of black fruit and spice, Ponzi Dolcetto demonstrates our commitment to discovery and innovation in finding yet another varietal match for the long, cool growing season of the Willamette Valley. Ponzi Dolcetto has roots in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, where the Ponzis discovered it during one of many visits to the Currado Family's Vietti Winery.
They planted some of Oregon's first Dolcetto in 1992. This varietal ripens along with the Pinot Noir, showing intense color and flavor.
